Aircraft Disinsection in Chicago

Chicago is the Midwest hub for transatlantic business aviation, and Italy, the European destination that most often requires disinsection, is a non-stop from Midway and Chicago Executive. We perform pre-embarkation disinsection at O’Hare, Midway, Chicago Executive and DuPage, on the empty aircraft before boarding, with the certificate issued on the ramp.

Why Chicago departures need a disinsection plan

Chicago sits in our central response region, so a departure here can often be served on shorter notice. Beyond Italy the routes that most often need the certificate are Greece and Egypt in summer and Barbados in winter, and the occasional non-stop to India on ultra-long-range aircraft.

From the Midwest the routes that most often trigger a disinsection requirement are transatlantic, Italy in particular, along with winter Caribbean flying to Barbados.

Chicago sits in our central response region: book 36 to 48 hours ahead as a rule, and some departures can be served with 12 to 36 hours of notice. We travel to the aircraft; nothing repositions to us.
