Chile requires disinsection on inbound international flights and is one of South America’s most frequent business aviation destinations from the US. Santiago is a long sector from the US, usually flown non-stop from Florida or Texas on larger aircraft.
Why the requirement exists
Mainland Chile has stayed largely free of Aedes aegypti, and its health authorities intend to keep it that way. Disinsecting arriving aircraft is part of that effort, which is why the requirement applies to private and corporate arrivals as much as to airlines.

Two things to settle before you file.

What the arrival authority sees.
An aircraft that arrives treated, ventilated and boarded in the normal way, carrying a disinsection certificate in the format the destination accepts, with the treatment recorded on the crew’s General Declaration. Arrival becomes a formality. An aircraft that arrives without a verified treatment is typically treated on arrival with passengers aboard, under supervision, sometimes at the operator’s expense.
