Aircraft Disinsection in New Mexico
We perform pre-embarkation aircraft disinsection at Roswell Air Center (ROW), Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) and Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ): the treatment is applied to the empty aircraft on the ramp or in the hangar before boarding, and the certificate is written there. Santa Fe and Albuquerque host a seasonal fleet, and Roswell is a maintenance and storage destination for aircraft returning to international service.
Departure airports we serve in New Mexico
- Roswell Air Center ROWRoswell Air Center puts one of the largest aircraft storage and reclamation operations in the world on a former bomber base in southeastern New Mexico, alongside paint shops that recolor airline fleets.
- Santa Fe Regional Airport SAFSanta Fe Regional sits on high desert plateau south of the oldest capital city in the country, where adobe-toned terminal buildings meet a runway sized for the altitude.
- Albuquerque International Sunport ABQAlbuquerque International Sunport is New Mexico’s flagship airport, a high-desert field where airline traffic shares the mesa with Kirtland Air Force Base and balloon-country general aviation.
Routes from New Mexico that require disinsection
From the Mountain West the routes that most often trigger a disinsection requirement are Pacific itineraries to Australia and New Zealand, usually via Hawaii or the West Coast, along with Italy and the Caribbean.
Santa Fe’s seasonal fleet and Albuquerque’s corporate and research operators fly south to Chile and east to Italy, and Roswell’s storage and maintenance ramps return aircraft to international service. A New Mexico departure that stages through Texas or Florida is treated at that last port.
We serve every country on the requirements by country table, not only the usual New Mexico routes.
Give us 36 to 48 hours of notice for a New Mexico departure and the date is held once the booking is scheduled. The treatment is pre-embarkation disinsection with an EPA registered aerosol at the WHO dose, applied to the empty aircraft at your New Mexico departure airport. The crew leaves with the signed certificate listing every can serial number, the ink stamped company affidavit, the General Declaration wording, a destination reference sheet, the EPA label sheet with SDS and TDS, and the used cans bagged and retained on board.
