Aircraft Disinsection at Miami Executive Airport (TMB)
Miami Executive is South Florida’s southern business aviation airport and a gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America. Departures to Jamaica, Barbados and South America leave from TMB daily.
If your next departure from TMB is to a country that requires disinsection, we come to your aircraft here, treat it empty before boarding to the WHO pre-embarkation method, and issue the certificate for the flight. Expect us at Miami within 24 to 36 hours of confirmation; booked departures are guaranteed for the date.
About Miami Executive Airport
Miami Executive Airport, in the southwestern suburbs, is South Florida’s southern business aviation field and a gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America. Departures to Jamaica, Barbados and South America leave from TMB daily, and its FBOs handle a large charter trade. Kendall’s field keeps its traffic lighter and its ramps quieter than the big airport up the road, which makes scheduling a pre-boarding treatment straightforward.
Where the requirement comes from
The requirement belongs to the country you are flying to, and it is met at the last port before that country. Leave Miami non-stop and TMB is that port, so pre-embarkation treatment of the empty aircraft here, before boarding, satisfies the destinations that accept the method. Add a stop and the picture changes; tell us the routing and we will place the treatment correctly.
TMB sends aircraft south: the Caribbean on short sectors and South America on long ones. Jamaica, Barbados, Chile and Paraguay all require disinsection on arrival, and Barbados, Chile, Paraguay round out the usual list. Where a South American trip from Miami Executive Airport stops en route, the treatment plan changes, so we ask for the full routing before confirming.
How it works on the TMB ramp
We coordinate with your FBO and crew, arrive ahead of the agreed time, and treat the aircraft where it is parked once catering and cleaning are complete and the cabin is empty. Cabin, flight deck and holds are treated to the WHO method, the aircraft is ventilated and released for boarding after the required wait, and the certificate goes aboard with the flight documents. Passengers arrive to a treated aircraft.
